RYE Inbound Student Johanna Heikkila Presentation

The Rotary Club of PVB-Sunset was blessed once again with a fantastic RYE inbound student, Johanna Heikkila.  Johanna visited the club this past Tuesday to make her formal introduction presentation.  Johanna shared pictures of her home and family.

Some interesting tidbits:

  •  Johanna hails from Tampere, Finland.  The 3rd largest city of Finland.

  • She has a sister and a twin brother.

  • She is a cross country skier

  • Her family has a cottage in Lapland, Finland.

  • In the winter after hitting the sauna they roll around in the snow or cut a hole in the ice in lake and go swimming.  In fact, she finds our pool and ocean water a little hot.

  • She plays piano and is starting to learn guitar.

  • She attends an art school. 

  •  She speaks: English, Swedish, German, Finnish, and a little French.
