Jennifer Lovell from the Rotaract Club of Jacksonville stopped by to talk to us about the 11th Annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala

Each year Rotaractors, Rotarians and other community leaders come together to support a local organization in need of funding at the Annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala. At this event, guests attend wearing anything from blue jeans to tuxedos and enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants and an open bar, all while supporting a great cause.

This year First Coast Rotaract is helping in the fight to end cancer by raising monies for the JLG Brain Cancer Foundation. The JLG Foundation is focusing its funding efforts towards the opening and operation of the Mayo Clinic Brain Cancer Tissue Bank right here in Jacksonville. It is an exciting time to be involved with this organization because we have an opportunity to really make a difference. The foundation is $65,000 away from reaching its goal this year and we hope that the Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala will be instrumental in making this dream a reality.

The gala this year will be held on September 7th, 2013 at EverBank Center (301 W. Bay Street). Please come out for a fun and wonderful time while supporting this great cause.
