Steve Jones prepared dessert tableside (so to speak) for us last weej, using 2 skillets, each containing butter and brown sugar.  Once hot, he added juice and sliced fresh strawberries to the first skillet and then generously sprinkled that with cracked black pepper (yes! black pepper!).  To the second skillet he added bananas and a sweet liquor - to make Bananas Foster.  These decadent concoctions were served hot over generous scoops of vanilla ice cream.  Can a dessert be too yummy?
